CNN Tech takes a look at the single actuator wave (SAW) robot, which can travel on uneven terrain, climb walls and even swim. Created by Prof. David Zarrouk, SAW is 3-D printed and can be scaled up or down depending on the task at hand.

Larger versions of the robot could be used for pipe maintenance and search and rescue missions, while smaller versions can be used by doctors to take pictures or biopsies from inside the human digestive system.
