Popular Mechanics — Take a peek into the BGU laboratories where technologies are being developed to protect Israel’s borders and safeguard its citizens.

Several innovations from BGU’s Homeland Security Institute are featured in a slideshow on the Popular Mechanics website.

These include a driverless Jeep and dune buggy; an autonomous mini helicopter and “parrot” micro-drone; and equipment that simulates the impact and response of a large scale structure, such as a building, to blast waves generated by explosives.
