BGU’s technology accelerator, Inno-Negev, recently celebrated the completion of its second cycle with a showcase of  innovations. Dubbed Demo Day, the event was attended by some 130 guests, including representatives of global companies, investors and entrepreneurs, and leading academics.

Inno-Negev is an initiative of the BGU Bengis Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management in partnership with BGN Technologies Ltd., the University’s technology transfer company.

The nine teams who took part in Inno-Negev’s current cycle consisted of students, graduates, researchers, and faculty from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Over the course of four months, the teams of entrepreneurs received hundreds of hours of counseling from senior industry mentors, practical advice in the field of law and litigation, $5,000 of cloud computing services, UI/UX consultations, and dozens of professional lectures.

Among the projects featured at Demo Day were Kidcode, a platform designed to teach coding to young children; SISmed, a medical robot that enables real-time visualization, diagnosis and treatment inside the gastrointestinal tract; and DROBEit, a social platform for sharing and exchanging second-hand clothes.
