JUF News — In July, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn spent a week touring Israel, culminating in the signing of a formal agreement on academic cooperation between BGU and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

He and BGU President Prof. Rivka Carmi pledged to promote faculty and student exchanges, joint research and other academic initiatives.
