Five Female Students Awarded Intel Academic Excellence Award

Five female BGU engineering students were recently awarded the Intel Academic Excellence Award in the presence of Intel Chief Executive Officer Maxine Fassberg and BGU President Prof. Rivka Carmi.

Intel Award for Academic Excellence

Rachel Abu, Liron Agmon, Liel Cohen, Maxine Fassberg – chief executive officer of Intel Israel, BGU President Prof. Rivka Carmi, Shiran Navah and Naama Shukran.

The award-winning students are:

Liron Agmon, who is pursuing a master’s degree in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Liel Cohen and Rachel Abu, who are both pursuing undergraduate and master’s degrees in a fast track program in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management.

Shiran Navah, who is pursuing a master’s degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Naama Shukran, who is pursuing a master’s degree in the Unit of Electro-Optical Engineering in BGU’s Faculty of Engineering.

Intel seeks to change the face of education by investing in science and technology education, and cultivating innovation that encourages economic growth, excellence and programs for women studying engineering and technology.
