Prof. Alon Monsonego’s research focuses on the interactions between the immune system and the brain during aging, and the progression of Alzheimer’s disease, attempting to discover key regulatory factors that influence central nervous system function and recovery. He and his colleagues are developing novel treatments for neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases while focusing on finding a vaccine for Alzheimer’s disease.
