Prof. Alon Monsonego is a member of the Shraga Segal Department of Microbiology and Immunology at BGU’s Faculty of Health Sciences, the National Institute of Biotechnology in the Negev, and the Zlotowski Neuroscience Center and Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research Center. His research focuses on the interaction between the immune system and the brain during aging and the progression of Alzheimer’s disease, attempting to discover key regulatory factors that influence central nervous system function and recovery. Prof. Monsonego and his colleagues are developing novel treatments for neuro-generative and autoimmune diseases.
