Prof. Noam Weisbrod is the new director of BGU’s Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research. His research is related to hydrological problems in aquifers and unsaturated systems. He has been a member of several delegations focused on water problems in developing countries, including the Israeli delegation to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in Namibia. Prior to being named director of the Zuckerberg, Prof. Weisbrod was head of the Department of Environmental Hydrology and Microbiology and the director of the Jacob Blaustein Center for Scientific Cooperation. He has been a member of the BGU faculty since 2002.
