Prof. Noam Weisbrod is now serving as the director of the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. The former director of BGU’s Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research, Prof. Weisbrod’s own area of expertise is related to contaminant hydrology and unsaturated systems. As a member of several international delegations, he has often traveled to and helped solve life-changing problems in Africa, Asia and South America.

Today, scientists at the world-renowned Blaustein Institutes are developing technologies that are game-changers, enriching desert farming, harnessing solar energy, recycling water, and much more. This talk will explore how Israel has become a trailblazer in the field and propose solutions that can impact not just Israel, but the world.
