Dr. Paula Kabalo is the founding director of the Israel Studies International Graduate Program at the Ben-Gurion Research Institute for the Study of Israel and Zionism. Located on the Sde Boker campus of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, the Institute is home to the Ben-Gurion Archives, the equivalent of a Presidential Library in the United States. The Archives house Ben-Gurion’s extensive collection of personal papers, diaries and letters.

With access to these materials, Paula will share Ben-Gurion’s thoughts and dreams for scientific development in the Negev. She and her husband, Shlomo Kabalo, a staff member of the Swiss Institutes for Dryland Studies at Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research, make their home in Sde Boker. Paula and her family made aliyah from Argentina. She received her Ph.D. from the School of Jewish Studies at Tel Aviv University.
