Prof. Noam Weisbrod is director of the Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.  Concurrently, Prof. Weisbrod serves as head of BGU’s Department of Environmental Hydrology and Microbiology.

Prof. Weisbrod’s research is related to hydrological problems in aquifers and unsaturated systems. He has been a member of several delegations focused on water problems in developing countries, including the Israeli delegation to the UNCCD convention in Namibia.

Prof. Weisbrod earned his undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has been a member of the Ben-Gurion University faculty since 2002.
