Prof. Dan Blumberg, the Simon Family Chair in Remote Sensing, is responsible for the ongoing expansion of the high-tech industry in Beer-Sheva and around the Negev, leveraging BGU’s applied research and innovation expertise. He focuses on maintaining and expanding the University’s relationships with the private sector, the Israeli government and military, and the Beer-Sheva municipality. Additionally, he is the director of the University’s Homeland Security Institute.
