Dr. Sarah Abu-Kaf
Conflict Management and Resolution Program
Dr. Sarah Abu-Kaf is a senior lecturer in cross-cultural psychology and the head of the Conflict Management and Resolution Program at Ben-Gurion University. Her work focuses on different sources of stress and the coping resources and strategies to deal with them. She is also an expert researcher on the mental health challenges among different subgroups within the Bedouin Arab society, including students, youth, women, and elders, as well as in other disadvantaged minorities in Israeli society.
Prof. Jihad El-Sana
Rector’s Consultant for Arab Student Affairs and Department of Computer Science
Prof. Jihad El-Sana is a faculty member in BGU’s Department of Computer Science. He heads the department’s Visual Media Lab, which hosts various research projects in computer graphics, image processing, augmented reality, computational geometry, and more. Prof. El-Sana serves as the rector’s advisor on Arab affairs, and represents BGU in recruiting prospective Bedouin students. He is one of the founders of the Academic Association for the Development of the Arab Society in the Negev. Prof. El-Sana also established Ahed High School for Science, which recruits excellent students from all over the Negev and prepares them for academic life in science and engineering.
