BGU’s Fourth Innovation Day

June 25, 2014

Business & Management, Robotics & High-Tech

Israel has rapidly grown into one of the world’s largest innovators of new technology. This is thanks in large part to a motivated, well-educated youth. BGU has stood proudly by Israel’s young adults, not only by encouraging entrepreneurship, but by providing the opportunities they need to bring their dreams to fruition.

The Bengis Center for Entrepreneurship and Hi-Tech Management, located in the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management, is open to all faculty and students and serves as a guide toward creating the next big start-up. It features lectures, offers advisors and helpful professors, and hosts several major events, including competitions and, most recently, the Fourth Annual Innovation Day.

Innovation Day 2014 took place this week and drew 300 participants and 130 presenters. The convention allows for students and researchers to present their projects to the public.

Several companies, including Microsoft and IBM, as well as venture capitalists, enthusiastically explored BGU’s Innovation Day presentations in an attempt to find the next big thing.
