BGU in Top 50 of the World’s Youngest Universities

Established in 1969, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is Israel’s youngest, most innovative university. It is also rated year after year as the number one choice of Israeli undergraduate students.

israeli-flags-on-campus_300-pxNow BGU has been ranked number 39 on the QS Top 50 Under 50 list. This ranking of the world’s top 50 universities established within the last 50 years is based on the highest performing young institutions in the 2013/14 QS World University Rankings®.

Overall, BGU was ranked 331 out of 800 in the QS World University Rankings® 2013/4. Over 2,000 universities were considered for this list.

The QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings is an annual ranking of the top universities in the world. The rankings are widely referenced by prospective and current students, university professionals and governments around the world.

QS also included BGU among the top 200 unversities worldwide in three subjects: history, linguistics and psychology.

For the QS World University Rankings by Subject list, 2,838 universities were evaluated and 689 institutions ranked in total. To determine these rankings, QS analyzed 130 million citation attributions and verified the provision of 10,639 programs.
