BGU Key Collaborator in Cyber Security Initiative

The Times of Israel — BGU’s technology transfer company, BGN Technologies, Israel-based security company, EMC; and venture capital investment firm, Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP) announced the creation of the CyberSpark Industry Initiative. The initiative will bring together, private companies, government, and academia to develop solutions to the greatest issues in cyber security and promote Israel and Beer-Sheva as an international center of excellence for cyber security CyberTech 2014research.

The announcement of CyberSpark was made during Cyber-Week in Israel where leaders in cyber security gathered to participate in events to share knowledge and collaborate on cyber security issues.

Cyber-Week kicked off with a presentation from former NSA director, Keith Alexander. Alexander emphasized the importance of collaboration between many stakeholders facing cyber security related issues.

It is with that thought in mind that the CyberSpark Industry Initiative was developed.
